My Date with Patricia
Paris is always a good idea – with these words famously spoken by Audrey Hepburn I want to start off my last blog entry about my trip to Paris.
I already told you about my summer day in the Parisian gardens and about my walk along the Canal Saint Martin. Now, it is time for the evening program. As the sun went down on my last day in Paris, I was looking for a nice Bistro to end the day with a review of its highlights in my mind and with a cocktail in my hand. And for this occasion, I wanted to go with a classy vintage look. However, given the fact that I was travelling all day, I was wondering what dress to wear that could both withstand a day trip in the big city and look glamorous for a date in the evening.
The solution for my dilemma was simple: Patricia! This emerald dress by Voodoo Vixen is very elegant, but you don’t feel like you’re dressed up to the nines.
I really like the chic floral pattern embedded in the green lace. Underneath this layer, there is a shimmering black underdress. In addition, you can wear a petticoat (length approx. 18 inches), like I did if you like to create more of an A-shape. But that’s totally up to you.
The dress comes with a detachable belt to clinch in the waistline. The belt is made of the same fabric as the black underskirt and helps to accentuate the shape of the body. Like many classic vintage dresses, Patricia fits tight around the waist and falls loosely at the hips.

Mein Date mit Patricia
“Paris is always a good idea “– mit diesen Worten verkündete Audrey Hepburn ihre Liebe zur französischen Hauptstadt. Und mit diesen Worten möchte ich meinen letzten Blogeintrag zu meinem Paris-Aufenthalt beginnen.
Ich habe euch bereits von meinem Sommertag in den Gärten von Paris und von meinem Spaziergang entlang des Canal Saint Martin erzählt. Nun wird es Zeit für das Abendprogramm. Als die Sonne an meinem letzten Urlaubstag unterging, war ich auf der Suche nach einem netten Bistro, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Mit einem Cocktail in der Hand ließ ich alle Highlights meines Paris-Aufenthaltes Revue passieren.
Kleidungstechnisch eignete sich zu diesem Anlass ein klassischer Vintage-Look am besten. Da ich jedoch meistens den ganzen Tag auf den Beinen war, musste ich ein Kleid wählen, das einem Tagesausflug in der Großstadt standhielt und gleichzeitig chic genug für ein abendliches Date ist.
Die Lösung für mein Dilemma war einfach: Patricia! Das smaragdgrüne Kleid der Vintage-Marke Voodoo Vixen ist perfekt für einen eleganten Auftritt ohne das Gefühl, overdressed zu sein.
Was ich an dem Kleid besonders mag, ist das Blumenmuster aus grüner Spitze über dem schwarz-schimmernden Unterrock. Die Ärmel bestehen nur aus diesem Spitzenmuster, sodass ein wenig Haut gezeigt wird ;)
Wer mag, kann zusätzlich einen Petticoat tragen (mein Petticoat hat eine Länge von 45 cm), um dem Kleid eine deutlichere A-Linie zu geben.
Der Schnitt ist typisch für den klassischen Vintage-Look. Das Patricia-Kleid liegt am Oberkörper enger an und fällt dann locker über den Hüftbereich bis zu den Knien. Der Gürtel aus dem passenden schwarzen Stoff betont zusätzlich die Figur der Trägerin.
Mein Fazit: Patricia hat einen echten Glamour-Faktor und ist gleichzeitig alltagstauglich. Für umgerechnet ca. 88 Euro könnt ihr das Kleid im Voodoo Vixen Onlineshop erwerben. Schaut euch am besten vor einem Kauf die Größentabelle an (ich trage hier eine Größe S).
